The Ciarán Hodgins Band is a hard-hitting rock and blues power trio hailing from the Northwest of Ireland. Raised in Ballyshannon, Co.Donegal, Ciarán was exposed to the genres of Rock n' Roll and Rhythm Blues from a young age. Influenced by fellow local and renowned international guitarist Rory Gallagher, Hodgins developed a curiosity in Rock Blues. Furthering to develop his own unique style, Hodgins began to perform as a solo and duo artist, eventually fronting his own band.
Ciarán has been fortunate to have been added to the line-up of the Rory Gallagher International Tribute Festival on numerous occasions, a festival that has acted as a bridge for Hodgins to offer his music to an international audience. Hodgins has played with and has shared line-ups with renowned national and international guitarist such as Johnny Gallagher, Seamie O'Dowd, Simone, Galassi, Zac Schulze, Aiden Pryor, Walter Trout, Eric Gales among others.
Most importantly, Ciarán Hodgins aims to preserve and promote the genres of Rhythm and Blues and Rock n' Roll in hoping to inspire others to carry on the traditional. The Ciarán Hodgins Band delivers a performance that explores the rich heritage of Rock Blues gaining influences spanning from the many founding fathers that have since passed on to other contemporary artists whose common initiative is to preserve the rich heritage of Rock and Blues.
